School of Performing Arts Shows

Throughout the year LEAP aims to provide every pupil with the opportunity to perform in a group set performance or end of term presentation, where the pupils present excerpts of the work created during the year to family and friends.

By encouraging these opportunities we believe it important to support the pupils needs to communicate their work with those outside the school. The culmination of their skills and experiences developed are successfully supported and acknowledged, which is an essential dynamic to the pupils self awareness and confidence. The rehearsal period is demanding as team work and self discipline are essential but the buzz and sense of accomplishment of the live, spontaneous ephemeral art of performance is truly unique and can be shared and inspired by all.

In recent years, LEAP's development has seen us run full show productions at Norden's Farm Centre for the Arts - Maidenhead. This has given our pupils real stage experience, where interested pupils also get the opportunity to enjoy the many diverse elements of running a show at a specialist venue. This includes running lighting, sound, set production, costume etc.
